Install Gitboard without changing your GitHub workflow.

Gitboard reads pull-request activity, keeps a workflow board current, and posts only the Slack messages you configure.

1. Install the GitHub App

Sign in with GitHub, install Gitboard on an organization or account, and grant access only to the repositories the board should see. Gitboard backfills existing open pull requests after a repository is selected.

GitHub access is read-only

Gitboard never commits, merges, comments, or changes labels. The GitHub App requests read access for these repository resources:

  • Pull requests and reviews
  • Contents metadata
  • Members
  • Checks
  • Commit statuses

Webhook deliveries are checked with GitHub’s X-Hub-Signature-256 signature before processing.

2. Choose tracked repositories

The Free plan tracks one repository. Select it on the repository settings page; paid plans can track more. Gitboard loads open pull requests, review requests, review history, and current CI state.

3. Connect Slack when you are ready

Slack is optional. The app requests only chat:write, channels:read, groups:read, users:read, and im:write. Invite Gitboard to a channel before selecting it for a digest. Personal DMs are always opt-in, and GitHub-to-Slack name matches require manual confirmation.
